Advocacy starts at home!  The owners and employees of The Bike Shop of Bel Air are local residents of Harford County and are actively involved with our community.  We are not absentee owners that are here for the quick buck!  We know our cycling friends since we live in Harford County and have been part of the cycling community from the beginning.  Not only have we supported both cycling clubs, the owners started the largest cycling club to meet the demanding needs of this community.  We have been involved with cycling rodeos, local fund raisers and community programs.  As a past appointee, Missie served on the Maryland Pedestrian & Bicycling Advisory Committee responsible for many long term planning projects and some immediate accomplishments.  Carl was trained by WABA to host bike rodeos.

"Advocacy is living a cycling life that encourages, develops and promotes cycling and awareness", says Missie Wakefield, owner.  There is not much in Harford County that the owners and shop employees have not been part of if it involves cycling.
